Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter flying over a crowded California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, finally dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palms and a steps close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were injured. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

The department said the aircraft was linked to an yearly “Cars N Copters” benefit occasion set for Sunday.
